Introduction of Academic courses 

 

  • B.A. in Persian language and literature

 

The B.A. course in Persian language and literature (non-Iranian students’ exclusive) is a course in which the students , in addition to learning Persian language, acquire a command in Persian language and literature and at the end of the course they get the degree of B.A. in Persian language and literature.

The graduates of this course can enter the area of Persian language and literature through teaching in the universities and academic centers, and by this they develop the sciences and knowledge of the prophet’s Family (peace be upon them). It also provides a good opportunity for the continuation of their study in the higher education.

 

Course length and its administration:

- If the course length and the system of B.A. in Persian language and literature is full time, the course would be 4 or 5 terms and, if double major, it would be 5 or 6 terms.

- Every theoretical credit is 16 hours and every practical one is 32 hours.

- Regarding educational rules and bylaws, the educational system follows the approved bylaws of Jameat Al-Mustafa Al-Alamyah.

The total number of credits for B.A. in Persian language and literature, exclusive for non-Iranian students, is 132 as it follows:

  • M.A. in Persian language and literature

M.A. course in Persian language and literature is a course in which the students enhance their ability in specialty areas of Persian language and literature and after graduation achieve the M.A. degree.

Course length and its form:

- The course length for M.A. in Persian language and literature is two and a half years (5 semesters).
- The length of every semester including the exam time is 18 weeks and every credit is 16 hours.
- The educational system is based on credit.

 

  • M.A. of Islamic studies in Arabic, English, and French

The M.A. course of Islamic studies in different languages (Persian, Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Malay, Turkish, Russian, and Urdu) is one of the new and specialized courses designed to answer to the special needs such as training distinguished seminary students who know languages and can research and teach Islamic sciences in different languages. Students of this major can get their M.A. degree by studying and reviewing literature and the specialized language of Islamic sciences in different languages and by learning internationally needed knowledge.

C) Seminary lessons

Seminary students of Language and Culture Studies Institute have to attend the seminary classes of the Institute or provide a valid license certifying the pass of following credits in the seminary centers approved by Jameat Al-Mustafa with a score of at least 17 out of 20.
